DESCRIPTION:The idea of this meetup is to get everyone up to speed on the t
 opic and show some applications from practice to inspire new ideas and dis
 cussions. We are very happy that our guest speakers Martin Stefanik and An
 tonello Cirulli are both alumni from our program:\n\nMartin Štefánik - H
 ead of Risk &amp\; Market Modeling at Richfox Capital\nTopic: "A Primer o
 n Quantitative Trading" \nBio: Besides working at Richfox Capital\, Marti
 n is currently pursuing his PhD in Mathematics at ETH. He is a graduate of
  our quantitative finance program and previously studied financial mathema
 tics at Charles University in Prague. Martin formerly worked in different 
 areas of quantitative risk management at UBS and Erste\, as well as an ana
 lyst in a long-short equity hedge fund\, Petrus Advisers.\n\nAntonello Cir
 ulli - Research Analyst (OLZ &amp\; Partners)\nTopic: "Continuous versus D
 iscrete Returns" \nBio: Antonello is currently doing research on portfoli
 o optimization and working on product development at OLZ &amp\; Partners. 
 He graduated from our quantitative finance program in 2016. Prior to his s
 tudies in Zurich\, Antonello obtained a Master's degree in pure and applie
 d mathematics from University of Rome Tor Vergata.\n\nAs usual\, there wil
 l be plenty of time for networking at the apéro after two presentations.
